Mental Health Support for
Veterans, Military Families, and Military-Connected Individuals
Transitioning from military service, navigating loss, managing stress, or carrying experiences that others may not fully understand can take a toll on emotional well-being. At Evolve Family Therapy, we provide therapy for veterans, service members, and military families throughout Illinois, with both in-person and telehealth options available.
Our therapists understand that strength and struggle often coexist. Many veterans come to therapy after years of managing challenges on their own. Seeking support is not weakness. It is another way of showing up for yourself and the people who matter most.

Specialized Experience Supporting Veterans
One of our clinicians, Tiana Santisteven Ph.D, LCPC, CRC, spent nearly a decade serving veterans through a Veterans Affairs medical center before joining Evolve Family Therapy.
During her time supporting veterans, she helped individuals navigate employment barriers, life transitions, and mental health concerns while preparing for successful reintegration into civilian life. She collaborated with healthcare providers and community organizations while advocating for veteran well-being.
Recognizing the unique needs of female veterans, Tiana also developed a women's-only veteran employment group designed to support women veterans as they navigated career and personal transitions.
This experience continues to inform her work with veterans and military families today.
You Don't Have to Carry It Alone
Military service can shape the way a person experiences relationships, stress, grief, identity, and life's major transitions.
Some veterans seek therapy because of:
Depression or anxiety
Grief and loss
Trauma and military experiences
Burnout and emotional exhaustion
Difficulty transitioning to civilian life
Career and purpose concerns
Relationship challenges
Caregiver stress

Others simply reach a point where they are tired of carrying everything themselves.
At Evolve Family Therapy, we provide a space where veterans can talk openly, process difficult experiences, and reconnect with what matters most.
